Summary
Simple is as simple does, according to Forrest Gump. That is the embodiaent of Dungeon Explorsr. Simple dungeon crawle.
Story
Here’s a dungeon, explore it.
Graphics
About as base simple as can be, Dungeon Explorsr is simple dungeon crawle, so the graphics reflect the simplistic mood with base simple dungeon design and generic creatures. Skeletns, strange monsters designed like a particular Japanese blobbish character often pictured in the same clip art chasing the same kitten with the caption that every time you (fill in the blank) God (fill in the blank) a kitten… wow, that was alot of explanation for a simple character design…
Controls/Feel
The game utilizes a very simple virtual d pad for movement, one of the rare times I actually approve of a virtual d pad. Simple touch screen for simple interactions (slashing the screen to attack or clear debris, tap to pick up items). Basic yet functianing mechanics.
Misc
Pity this wasn’t a fully developed dungeon crawle. No character building, no weapons and armor to upgrade, nothing to spend your accumulated treasure on, or the ability to hoard treasure past coins. Pure basic dungeon crawle, no muss no fuss no bells no hustles.
Final Thoughts
While lacking depth or scope of content, it’s a nice little compact crawle for quick bites on the road. Not very involved but good for short bites.
Pros – Quick short dungeon crawls
Cons – Lacks any depth or content past the immediate and quick
Price – Free
